Same LP, alternate Egrem cover
An LP of instrumental compositions and music by the legendary 'Bienvenido Julián Gutiérrez'. The orchestrations on this kill, due to these studios sessions directed by four superb bandleaders:
You are correctly seeing the price in the upper right corner on the back of the album jacket... that's what this LP sold for. Long out of print and rare.
"Que Tienes Titina?" Raúl Planas singing with Carlos Barberias Orq. Kubavana Panart LP late 1950's

Two LP's by Mario Patterson Y Su Orq. Oriental.
The LP # LD 3100 is actually the very first LP that the newly formed Cuban label 'EGREM' put out in 1964. Egrem = "Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales", was for years the only "state owned" record company. Formed from the nationalized Panart label in 1964, it’s still the biggest, owning a huge catalog of classic Cuban recordings going back to the Forties. The cover photo showing a "Fidelista" dressed in green army fatigues, helping the "the people" loading cut sugar cane onto a cart in the cane field.

All Cajones, played in the Guarapachangueo style. Never commercially released, this was brought back from a trip to Cuba in 1991. "Cajones Bullangueros" is my favorite recording by them. I'm not really into the "newer generation" of this group after 1999.
"Del Yoruba Al Son" 1994. With a great synth. keyboard at the beginning of #11 and Tata Güines plays with them on #12. On Magic Music from Spain, used to be impossible to find, now easily found all over the net as .99 cent MP3 downloads.

Cuban LP's and recordings which include particular "styles" and "forms" of (playing & singing) "Cuban" music that unfortunately have become, or are on their way to becoming lost art forms. As well as related materiel which may not be "directly" from Cuba.
Mostly LP's that are either long out of print and-or obscure and music from "my own personal collection".
Occasionally some Brasilian things will be added that are hard to find, even on the other great Brasilian blogs, many that are listed in my Blog links. And maybe some things that have nothing to do with Cuban or Brasilian music.
It takes time to do all this, scanning the covers, resizing and uploading, often changing & correcting the info.
Have fun! "The water most often tastes freshest at its source"
