The late master Olu Bata & drum maker, 'Andrés Chacón' plays Lucumi, Abakua and Arara styles with his group Iré Iré.
Recorded live at his home in La Havana, Cuba in 2001.
'Andrés Chacón Franquiz' "Pogolotti" was born on the outskirts of Havana near the Toledo sugar factory. Andres learned from the master drummers of his day, many of them raised by grandparents born in Africa, who in turn had learned from earlier masters.Musicians:Tambores Bata/Tambores/Chekeré/Percussion:
