This is Alfredo "Chocolate" Armenteros first LP as a leader.
Recorded in N.Y.C. in 1974.
This vinyl LP is long out of print.
There was a CD reissue back in 1995, but is was done by a small company in N.Y.C., not many were available, now the CD reissue is practically impossible to find.

Chocolate chose fellow Cuban musicians:
'Marcelino "Rapindey" Guerra' & 'Justo Bentancourt': cantantes (vocals)
'Javier Vazquez': Piano
This for me, is his best LP, he's with friends and his playing is relaxed.
On #10 "Harlem Latin Compas", Abakúa is spoken over the drum solo.

Chocolate's trumpet playing is absolutely sweet. Every note is crystal clear on this LP. The band grooves along effortlessly.
Thanks Mark.
