Mario Patterson Y Su Orq. Oriental (2 LPs)

"Mario Patterson y Su Orq. Oriental"

With the Peñalver bothers on Alto y Tenor sax and Virgilio Vixama on Baratone Sax.

Two LP's by Mario Patterson Y Su Orq. Oriental.
The LP # LD 3100 is actually the very first LP that the newly formed Cuban label 'EGREM' put out in 1964.
Egrem = "Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales", was for years the only "state owned" record company.
Formed from the nationalized Panart label in 1964, it’s still the biggest, owning a huge catalog of classic Cuban recordings going back to the Forties.
The cover photo showing a "Fidelista" dressed in green army fatigues, helping the "the people" loading cut sugar cane onto a cart in the cane field.
